Videoconference What do we need?
You can start a video network with a minimum of equipment. Two Video Conference endpoints at strategic locations plus a network in between may be all you need.
If your existing data network has the capacity (and most do these days) you can use that or you can use your existing ISDN telephone lines.
As your usage increases you can add more endpoints and infrastructure devices that provide features including
- Simple number based dialling
- Calls to multiple sites
- Breakout to other organisations through ISDN or the Internet
- URI Dialling (making a video call to fred@flintstone.com)
- Managing calls (PABX features)
